How to read this, honestly. "Pubs scored" is the number we audited, not the size of the estate. Estates marked * were sampled at 50 pubs rather than scored in full (9 of 23 estates). Robinsons, for example, operates far more pubs than the 50 we scored. Estate averages are therefore representative, not exhaustive, and a larger estate's average carries more uncertainty than a small one scored end to end. We would rather say that than imply a completeness we haven't earned.
