We scored 658 pubs across 16 UK brewery estates on seven digital pillars — reputation, review volume, social presence, engagement, website, responsiveness and content quality. Every score uses publicly available data only. No estate was asked to take part.

The headline finding: of 658 pubs scored, 136 reached Band A ("Thriving"). 186 sit in Band C ("At Risk") — 28.3% of the total — and a further 176 are Band D or F. The problem across the UK pub trade is not a handful of bad performers. It is a very large, very consistent middle.

How to read this, honestly. "Pubs scored" is the number we audited, not the size of the estate. Estates marked * were sampled at 50 pubs rather than scored in full (6 of 16 estates). Robinsons, for example, operates far more pubs than the 50 we scored. Estate averages are therefore representative, not exhaustive, and a larger estate's average carries more uncertainty than a small one scored end to end. We would rather say that than imply a completeness we haven't earned.
